Roof prices vary. Slope, layers, decking condition, and shingle tier all factor in. We can’t quote exact numbers without seeing your roof, but here’s what Triangle homeowners typically pay.
Prices below are full-system replacements including tear-off, decking inspection, underlayment, and all flashings. They don’t include deck repair if rotted wood is found (typically $75–$150 per sheet).

Most replacements in the Triangle are done in a single day. Larger or steeper roofs — over 3,000 sq ft or 8/12 pitch and above — occasionally run into day two. We’ll tell you upfront if that’s likely based on your specific job.
You don’t need to be there for the installation itself. We do ask that someone be present at the start for a brief walkthrough, and that you’re available for the final walk-through at the end of the job.
Storm damage — hail, wind, falling trees — is typically covered. Age-related wear and tear generally is not. We can help you document storm damage for your adjuster, but we don’t inflate claims. If your insurer is involved, we’ll give them the same straight scope we give you.
The “lifetime” designation refers to the warranty period, not a literal guarantee. Lifetime shingles are typically heavier, with better granule adhesion and wind ratings than standard 25-year shingles. In NC’s climate, we almost always recommend lifetime-rated shingles — the price difference is modest and the performance difference is real.
Technically yes — but usually it’s not worth it. Partial replacements almost never achieve a color match with existing shingles, and you don’t get manufacturer warranty coverage on a partial job. If one slope is bad enough to replace, the rest is usually close behind. We’ll tell you honestly when a partial makes sense and when it doesn’t.
