So, we took it upon ourselves to make lists of local roofers that are unbiased and unpaid for.

B&B Roofing has been serving the Holly Springs area since 1989, and claims to provide innovative roofing services at competitive rates. They are insured, Better Business Bureau accredited, and maintain an A+ rating from the BBB. The company offers residential roof repairs and replacements for asphalt shingle and metal roofs, and also can conduct gutter replacements and installations.
The reviews that customers have left for B&B Roofing seem to show a pleasant experience working with the company.
Though Artisan Quality Roofing got its start completing general building contracts in 2011, it really began focusing on roofing projects in 2013. Now they provide replacements, repairs, inspections, and regular roof maintenance to the area surrounding Apex, including Holly Springs. The company has been very highly rated by its customers on Google, with over 200 reviews at the time of writing this, and has been family owned for over a decade now.
If you’re wanting to find a Holly Springs roofing company with a long track record of success, Locklear Roofing is one to look at. Founded in 1980, Locklear is in its second generation of being a family and minority owned company, and is now under the leadership of the original founders daughter, making it a fully woman-owned company as well. Locklear primarily installs roofs on new construction houses for large scale and custom builders, but they also offer roof replacement services to homeowners in Holly Springs.
Scro’s Roofing has become well known in the Raleigh area for its faith-based approach to roofing, as well as its electric green trucks. Scro’s operates out of its headquarters in downtown Clayton, and uses GAF products for their roof repair and roof replacement services. Scro’s is also certified by GAF as a Master Elite Residential Roofing Contractor. Essentially, what that means is that they have passed a certain level of installation criteria, and earned the backing of the manufacturer to offer high quality warranties.
Skywalker Roofing was founded in Piedmont region of North Carolina in 2003, but since then they have expanded to multiple locations throughout the state, including one in Raleigh. Skywalker’s key services include roof replacements, roof repairs, and metal roofing services for residential and commercial clients. Additionally, the company offers windows and siding project solutions, should the customer need it. The company primarily uses Owens Corning shingles, and is certified as an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor.
Now that you’re familiar with the top roofing companies that serve Holly Springs, how do you know what you’re looking for when you reach out to them? Let’s talk about some factors that can help you decide between a roof repair and a roof replacement.
The age of your roof is going to be one of the biggest factors you’ll have to consider as you’re deciding between a roof repair or a roof replacement. If your roof received some damage, but it has only been on your home for 5 years, there is a good chance that it will continue to function properly for several years to come after a successful repair is completed.
If your roof is reaching the end of its life, say, 20 years or so, then damage will be much more likely to occur, and more and more repairs will be necessary. Depending on what you plan to do with your house in the future, that could also affect how you want to approach the task at hand.
For instance, if your roof is nearing the end of its life and sustains some damage, but you’re looking to sell your house in the next year or so, it’s not really your problem, right?
WRONG!
Having a damaged or old roof on your house will severely lower your home’s value and may lead to a buyer asking for the money to replace it as a part of the deal.
Additionally, having a new, properly installed roof can make your property much more attractive to good buyers, as it will be one less major project that they will have to do shortly after moving into the house.
