Starting up a roofing project in Dunn and the area around Raleigh, NC can be a tough task, any homeowner who has been through it will probably tell you that. Roofs are an expensive, time-consuming, and problematic part of the home that you really only get to use when you look up at your house as you’re pulling into the driveway.
Since I’ve been working in the roofing industry, I’ve gained a new appreciation for roofs and how they accent a house. But before I looked at them for a living, I can’t say I ever paid them much thought, so I certainly don’t blame homeowners for not thinking too much about it.
That being said, it’s incredibly important to the health of our homes, and having a well-built roof will go a long way in preserving the home’s value over the long term. So when you need a new roof, or a repair to address a roofing issue, who should you turn to?
If you’re searching from Dunn, you’ve come to the right place! In this blog, we’ll be breaking down:
Before we really get rolling, a few quick notes. We haven’t ranked the companies here in any particular order, and they aren’t here because of any personal experiences or recommendations. We haven’t worked with any of these companies before. They have been put here because of their ratings on websites like Google, and the information that the companies have listed.
Also, you may be thinking to yourself: “Why is this roofing company, that clearly works in Dunn, trying to tell me about its competition in the area?” Well, here at On Tops Roofing, our mission is to become more than just a roofer, but a source of reliable information for homeowners who want to understand the roofing process, and industry. That way, you’ll feel like you know who we are and what we’re about long before you’d need to call us out for your roofing project.
So, that’s why we’re talking about the other companies who serve Dunn! Some of the more national rankings sites can list the companies in a confusing order, and can be paid to show up more prominently, so this list has been put together so that you can trust to be accurate and unbiased.
Alright, with that out of the way, let’s jump in!
Pro-Roofing + Restoration offers services for residential and commercial roofing customers. The company has its headquarters in Dunn, but also serves Central and Eastern NC, including Fayetteville and Raleigh. Pro-Roofing + Restoration wants to help the homeowners that they work with navigate the choppy waters of storm damage repair, and make something stressful into a pain-free process. The company has a 5-star rating on Google, and with over 100 reviews, that’s not an easy thing to do!
NKS Contracting has been serving homeowners in Central North Carolina for a decade now, installing three-tab and architectural shingles, metal roofs, as well as flat roofing systems. The company has its headquarters in Erwin, providing roof installations, roof repairs, and roof maintenance to the area.
Founded In 2005, Lane’s Contracting is the longest lasting roofing contractor on this list, and is a whole home exteriors contractor, working in roofing, siding, windows, and painting. They are headquartered in Smithfield, but serve the area from Raleigh to Fayetteville. The company is family-owned and maintains a GAF Master Elite certification, which is the highest level of certification that the manufacturer offers to residential roofers.
The Roof Mentors serve all around the Dunn and Fayetteville area, but has teams based in both cities, along with Raeford, Winston-Salem, and Hope Mills. They focus on residential roof repairs, gutter services, and insurance claims, along with their roof replacement services. For their services, they install Atlas brand architectural asphalt shingles.
Top Armour Contracting primarily works with Owens Corning asphalt shingles, and serves Eastern North Carolina from its headquarters in Dunn! They work in roofing, gutters, and siding services, providing free estimates for their roof replacements. They believe that in order to have a safe and happy home, you must be able to feel confident about the roof over it.
If you’re just getting started on your roofing project, you’re probably having a bit of shock about how much it all is likely going to cost you. So often people ask us how long they can leave a roofing issue that they’re dealing with, in order to put off having to pay for it right away.
So how long can you leave a roof leak in this way?
The answer to this question will really depend on what kind of leak you’re dealing with, and if you’ve got any rain in the forecast.
If your leak is already big enough that it’s caused heavy damage to your decking, or is leaking into your house, you should address it immediately. It may take some time to sort out payment with your insurance, or when to schedule the repair, so the sooner you can get the leak identified and inspected, the better your chances are of preventing further damage, and saving some money on the repair.
Regardless of the size of the leak, you really need to at least have your leak inspected and covered up by the next rainfall, but if it is a smaller section, that might be enough to keep your home dry in the short term. That being said, we do not recommend doing that, as there’s a really strong chance that if you don’t get it repaired at the first possible opportunity, any warranties or insurance money that your roof could have qualified for will be voided, and you’ll be left paying for it on your own.
Now that you’ve read through this blog, I hope you’re feeling more confident in starting your own roofing project!
